A little Bahamian Wildlife

While on the cruise we took a tour of the Atlantis resort in Nassau. Very interesting place, they built it based on the Plato's description of Atlantis which was considered fiction so the tour guide advises you that "only you, me, and the fish are real down here."  It really wasn't that hard to figure that out... The aquariums are pretty cool though and gave me the opportunity to test the low light, high ISO capabilities of the new camera. I have to say I am pretty impressed, the previous best low light camera I have used is the Canon 6D a 20 megapixel full frame that we use for events on campus (because there is not a single place on campus that has good lighting for taking event photos). I think the Sony camera did as well if not better than Canon at ISO 3200, the noise was very controllable.

Here is my Jonathan Livingston Seagull photo...

We walked all over the resort to try and find the sea turtles (it was my fault, I really wanted to see them). They have about 20 or so of these large sea turtles (Green Sea Turtles, I think) in one large pond. I was really hoping we would get to see them under the water like the other marine life, but no dice... They did seem very friendly.
