Fall Is Here

It finally feels like Fall in Florida which means I can start roaming some of my favorite areas.  Friday was my Dad's birthday so we got together in the morning to watch the deer at Princess Place. I also wandered out to Summer Haven, one of my favorite places for great Blue Herons, alas the herons decided not to put in an appearance. My friend Angel, whose house is in the area saw me out there and invited me to photograph Osprey's from her deck. Here are some of the photos from the day.

A few wildlife landscapes...

  • Peek-a-boo...

  • Peek-a-boo II - look closely at the center of the flower...

  • Old Boat Dock

  • Interesting Tree

I also decided to concentrate on some more abstract images.

  • Oysters

  • Underwater

  • This almost looks like some of the aerial landscapes I took from the plane... but its not...

  • Twig

  • Not sure if this belongs to the abstract or landscape category?

  • This is my favorite photo of the day... Nature triumphing over industrial...

The rest of the day was spent chasing Osprey's which are devilishly hard to photograph...

  • Guarding the National Park

  • Dive, Dive, Dive...

  • Dive, Dive, Dive II

  • Soaring

These were all taken with the Sony NEX-7 with Canon lenses.

They all have interesting features. Good pics.
